Beyond a general Biology degree, FSU offers concentrations in Molecular Biology as well as an option in Pre-Health Professions and a double-major for future high school teachers.

Research Opportunities
Cooperation with the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science Appalachian Laboratory, one of the three research institutes of the Center for Environmental and Estuarine Studies, provides expanded research opportunities.
Career Opportunities
The quality of our growing programs has enabled our students to seek the best postgraduate positions in dozens of graduate programs studying biology, botany and zoology as well as in veterinary, dental, and medical schools.
Graduates are employed at the National Institutes of Health, Fort Detrick's Frederick Cancer Research Facility, United States Department of Agriculture, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, biotechnology firms, zoos, botanical gardens, environmental education centers and public school systems.
